Delta SkyMiles Business Cards Bonus: Earn Up to 110,000 Miles

All three American Express Delta business credit cards—Gold, Platinum, and Reserve—are making generous welcome offers through July 17, 2024. You’ll earn between 75,000 and 110,000 miles, depending on which card you open. As Delta SkyMiles are worth around 1.16 cents, on average, this translates into between $870 and $1,276 in travel, though it’s possible to get even more value from them if you’re a whiz with Delta miles.

Let’s examine each card to help you decide which best fits your travel style.

Delta SkyMiles business credit cards now offering welcome bonuses worth up to 110,000 miles

There’s a scientific term for these bonus offers: “doozie.” If you’ve been thinking about opening one of these cards lately, your procrastination has paid off.

You’ll also find many of the same perks on each card (free first checked bag, a 15% discount on award flights, bonus miles when purchasing Delta flights, etc.). However, there are also some benefits specific to each. Let’s take a look.

Delta SkyMiles Gold Business

The Delta SkyMiles® Gold Business American Express card earns 75,000 bonus miles after spending $6,000 on purchases within the first six months from account opening. This is 20,000 miles more than the card’s previous offer (a difference in value of $232, based on our estimation).

The card charges a $0 annual fee the first year, then $150, and comes with benefits such as:

  • A $200 Delta Flight credit after you spend $10,000 on purchases within a calendar year.
  • Up to $150 in Delta Stays credit (which you can use for eligible prepaid hotel stays reserved through Delta).
  • Zone 5 Priority Boarding.

Delta SkyMiles Platinum Business

The Delta SkyMiles® Platinum Business American Express card earns 95,000 bonus miles after spending $8,000 on purchases within the first six months from account opening. That’s 30,000 miles more than the card’s previous offer (a difference in value of $348).

You’ll pay a $350 annual fee for benefits such as:

  • Up to $120 in credit to be used at eligible Resy-participating restaurants (enrollment required).
  • Up to $200 in Delta Stays credit for eligible prepaid hotels booked via Delta.
  • Up to $10 in monthly Rideshare credit to be used in the U.S. with eligible services such as Uber and Lyft (enrollment required).
  • Each year after you renew your card, get a Companion Certificate allowing you to bring a travel buddy along on an eligible Main Cabin itinerary to destinations in the U.S., Caribbean, and Central America for only the cost of taxes and fees.

Delta SkyMiles Reserve Business

The Delta SkyMiles® Reserve Business American Express card now comes with a whopping 110,000 bonus miles after spending $12,000 on purchases within the first six months from account opening. That’s 35,000 miles more than the card’s previous offer (a difference in value of $406).

The most premium Delta business credit card, the Reserve charges a $650 annual fee. However, you also get perks that can easily offset the price tag, including:

  • Complimentary access to Delta Sky Clubs and Amex Centurion Lounges.
  • Up to $240 in credit to be used at eligible Resy-participating restaurants (enrollment required).
  • Up to $200 in Delta Stays credit for eligible prepaid hotels booked via Delta.
  • Up to $10 in monthly Rideshare credit to be used in the U.S. with eligible services such as Uber and Lyft (enrollment required).
  • Each year after you renew your card, you get a Companion Certificate allowing you to bring a travel buddy along on an eligible itinerary to destinations in the U.S., Caribbean, and Central America (including first class) for only the cost of taxes and fees.
  • Complimentary upgrade list (even if you don’t have Delta elite status).

Do you qualify for Delta SkyMiles business credit cards?

Before you apply for a Delta business credit card, you should determine your eligibility for the card of your choice and its bonus. Ask yourself the following questions:

  • Do you own a business? Only those with businesses can open a Delta business credit card. However, the definition of “business” is quite elastic.Selling items on Etsy, dog-sitting from the Rover app, or driving for Lyft are all legitimate small businesses that can make you eligible.
  • Have you previously opened a Delta business card? American Express generally only allows you to earn the welcome bonus for each of its cards once. If you’ve opened the Delta SkyMiles Gold Business card before, you likely won’t earn its bonus a second time. However, you’d still be eligible for the bonus on the Platinum and Reserve cards.
  • Do you have a good credit score? As is the case with most rewards credit cards, you typically need a credit score rated at least “good,” 670 or above, to qualify.
